At FREM, our faith is grounded in God’s Word and centered on Jesus Christ, shaping how we live, worship, and We hold to biblical truths that guide our salvation, daily walk, and commitment to share God’s love with the world.

We Believe In …

The Godhead

  • We believe there is only one God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things and who is the only proper object of religious worship. Isaiah 45:18,21,22, Psalm 97:10, 1 Thes. 5:23, Isaiah 9:6, Matt. 2:1-6.

  • We believe that our one Lord and Sovereign is Jehovah, the Covenant God, who through His Son Jesus Christ is Lawgiver, Supreme Judge and Ruler of His people. We believe He unites in Himself all power and authority and demands absolute loyalty and obedience from His people. Isaiah 44:6, Deut. 2:41, Rom. 12:1, 1 Cor. 29:11.

  • We believe that the one true God is revealed through the Scriptures as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three manifestations the Godhead are undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory. John 10:24-38, John 14:6-23, John 16:26-31, John 17:1-11, 1 John 5:7.

  • We believe that God has fully revealed Himself to mankind in the person of Jesus Christ with whom the Divine and human natures are united, so that He is truly and properly God, and truly and properly God, and truly and properly man. Heb. 1:1-5, John 1:1-18, Phil. 2:5-11, Col. 2:8-9, 1 Tim. 2:5, 1 Tim. 3:16.

Sin/Salvation

  • We believe that the first beings- (Adam and Eve) were created by God in a state of innocence, but, through disobedience, they lost their fellowship with God and were banished from paradise. As a consequence of their fall, all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly under the wrath of God. Gen. 2:1-9, 15, 17, Gen. 3: 1-24, Psalm 14:2-3, Rom. 3:10-19, Rom. 1:18-32.

  • We believe that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the ultimate and perfect sacrifice for man’s sins. By Christ’s sufferings and death he made atonement for the whole world, so that whosoever believes in Him may have everlasting life. Isaiah 53:1-12, Rom. 5:1-21, Heb. 9:1-28, Heb. 10:1-39, John 3:16, John 12: 44-50.

  • We believe that redemption may be obtained only through repentance towards God and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ. We must repent (turn from) our sins and confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Salvation does not depend upon man’s works but on God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ezek. 18:31-32, Eph. 2:1-9, Rom. 3:20-28, Acts 3:19-21, Acts 17:30-31, 2 Peter 3:9.

  • We believe that continuance in a state of Salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ, and that one’s salvation may be lost by disobedience or unfruitfulness for God is able to cut off from the vine the branches that do not abide and therefore those that wither and die. Ezek. 18:20-30, John 15: 1-6, Heb. 6:1-8, 1 Peter 1:22-23, 2 Peter 2:9-22, James 2: 14-26.

Our Destination

  • We believe in the immortality of the soul, in the resurrection of the body, in the judgment at the end of the world, in the eternal happiness of the righteous; and in the endless punishment of the wicked in Hell.1 Kings 17:20-23, Rev. 20:4, Acts 2:25-31, 1 Cor. 15:35-44, Rev. 20:11-15, Matt. 25:31-46, Rev. 21:1-8, Rev. 14:10-11.

Baptism

  • We believe that all born-again Christians should be baptized by complete water immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, which is the Lord Jesus Christ, as taught in the gospels and practiced in the book of Acts. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues; this precious experience involves all of the gifts of the Spirit. Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:37-47, Acts 8: 35-38, Acts 2:1-21, 1 Cor. 12:1-11, Col. 2:9-10.

Ministries

  • We believe that God has set in the Body of Christ the five-fold ministries of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. We do not believe that anyone can choose the above callings, but that God calls, appoints and anoints men and women for His work. We do not believe that race, tribe, color, sex, education or economic position has any bearing on the calling of God. We believe that God is not a respecter of persons. Eph. 4:11-16, 2 Peter 1:10-11, 2 Thes. 1:11-12, Heb. 3:1-2, Rom. 9:14-16.

Spiritual Warfare

  • We believe that the Christian walk is a spiritual battle. Therefore, we are called to put on the whole Armor of God to fight and stand against the wiles of the devil, because we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this world. Eph. 6:10-18, 2 Cor. 10:3-6, 1 Peter 5:16-29, Rom. 13:12.

  • We believe that God’s people may need deliverance from demonic problems on occasions. The casting out of demons was practiced by Jesus Christ and was called “the children’s bread” (Matt. 15:26) The Apostle Paul also practiced casting out demons. We do not believe that a true Christian can be demon possessed but can possess a demon or vexed. Matt. 15:21-28, Mark 7:20-23, Luke 11:14-26, Acts 16:16-18, Rom. 7:18-21.

The Authority Of Scripture

  • We believe that the scriptures of the Old Testaments are the Inspired Word of God and the final source in all matters pertaining to the conduct and faith. Isaiah 8:20, Isaiah 34:16, 2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:16-21.

  • We believe that we have divine revelation in part, and we are open to receive fresh “Rhema” (living Word) from the Lord, guided according to the full revelation of the scriptures. We believe that God still speaks to and through His people by His Spirit. We have not arrived, but we are pressing towards the mark of the high calling of Christ Jesus. John 14:26, John 16:7-15, 1 john 2:27, Phil. 3:4-15.

Peace Policy

  • We believe that we are primarily citizens of God’s Kingdom and secondarily citizens of this earth. We believe that we should live peaceably with all men to the best of our ability, and that the strongest political statement we can make is a life lived in Holiness and separation unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Heb. 11:8-16, Rom. 12:18, Matt. 22:21, John 17:16.

  • We believe that in situations where the scriptures do not specifically speak, that God’s people are bound to follow that which their conscience dictates as right in the light of prayer and communion with the Holy Spirit of God. Dan. 3:17-18, Acts 5:28-29, John 16:13.

  • We believe one cannot and should not use force to compel anyone to accept the faith, or to persecute or put to death anyone for the sake of his or her faith, for faith is a free gift of God. It is wrong that among God’s people any weapon other than that of the Divine Word should be used. The Lord has commanded simply to preach the gospel, not to compel anyone by force to accept it. The true Body of Christ suffers and endures persecution but does not inflict persecution upon anyone. 2 Cor. 10:3-6, Eph. 2:8, Mark 4:3-20, Matt. 5:10.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ did not come bearing arms to destroy men’s lives, but He came preaching salvation unto their souls. He did not die that Christians would become armed self-defenders, but He taught us to look to God the Father as our defense. We believe that as we walk in obedience under the command of Jesus Christ, that God alone will be our defense, and that we would not need to resort to carnal weapons for either defense or offense. At the same time we do not believe in the extreme pacifism which denies the reality that we are in a war for the souls of men and that we have enemies, both spiritually physically, whom we must diligently guard against. John 18:36, Psalm 18:2, 1 Peter 5:6, Jude 4.
