Resources for Learning
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” – Hosea 4:6
Access to education is one of the strongest foundations for lasting community impact. Through the FREM Resources for Learning initiative, we are working to equip communities with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to thrive. We have already collected over 5,000 books and received donations of refurbished laptops and tablets for pastoral leadership. By combining traditional resources with digital tools, we aim to foster a love for learning and prepare individuals to engage confidently with today’s interconnected world.
A Vision for Growth & Sustainability
Our long-term goal is to expand by establishing mini libraries and media centers throughout the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon. Each center will serve local chapels and surrounding communities, offering affordable computer literacy training, internet access, printing, multimedia services, and a repository of Christian and educational resources. Libraries and media centers will serve each hub, with a goal of 50,000 books and funding needed to fully equip locations. These spaces will provide students, pastors, families, and displaced individuals with access to knowledge, technology, and safe learning environments, opening doors to opportunity, hope, and empowerment. As Proverbs 1:5 reminds us, “Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.”
The Resources for Learning initiative is designed to be sustainable. Our libraries and future media centers may generate income through local and online sales of books, educational materials, and other resources, with proceeds reinvested into local hubs, community programs, and ongoing initiatives, centering education. By ensuring long-term financial support, these centers will remain vibrant spaces for education, faith, and community engagement.
