A Bus Ministry

FREM envisions establishing a Bus Ministry in select developing countries, providing safe and affordable public transportation with a unique purpose: sharing the message of Christ on every journey. Each trip will feature a volunteer evangelist engaging passengers with inspiring teachings, ministry updates, and uplifting moments—turning every ride into an opportunity for connection and spiritual growth.

Structure and Operations

  • The ministry will operate inter-city buses with trained drivers and conductors, all working alongside the volunteer evangelist.

  • Buses will be non-profit, charging fares lower than or equal to regulated rates. Any surplus funds, after covering depreciation and operational costs, will be used to produce and distribute Christian literature on the buses.

  • Each bus will be equipped with video and audio materials, including sermons and inspirational messages.

Spiritual and Moral Standards

  • Every bus will be dedicated to the Lord and anointed by a special prayer team.

  • Buses will be drug-free and non-smoking zones. Only sober passengers may ride, and all obscene materials, language, or behavior will be prohibited.

  • Buses are considered “moving congregations” with ministering personnel maintaining a Christian atmosphere at all times. Tickets will reflect this standard.

  • Lists of Bible-believing churches will be provided to help new converts connect with local congregations at their destination.

Personnel Requirements

  • Drivers will be married, born-again Christians of exceptional character, recommended by their pastors. They must be free from drugs, alcohol, smoking, anger issues, or other behaviors inconsistent with Christian living.

  • All bus staff must be courteous, calm, and professional, even under provocation. Any personnel involved in misconduct will be removed from the ministry.

Safety and Legal Compliance

  • Buses must transport only legal goods and comply with all traffic and safety regulations.

  • The comfort, safety, and spiritual well-being of passengers are the highest priorities.

Vision
The Bus Ministry aims to create safe, peaceful, and spiritually enriching transportation that draws unbelievers to Christ while providing reliable, affordable travel. By combining service, evangelism, and moral excellence, each bus journey becomes an opportunity for ministry and outreach.
